Nothing too out of the ordinary has happened lately. I finally got my physical done for the AF... its about time. I spent 9 hours down at the clinic at Hill AFB in Ogden. That was the most through physical I have ever been through. First I had 2 chest xrays taken. Then I did the urine sample, and 9 vials of blood. Next I went to the flight medicane department to have all the regular stuff done. Weight, Blood pressure (standing, sitting, and running), hearing test, color vision, depth perception, EKG, etc... Next I went to the dental clinic to have my mouth looked in, then I headed to the optomotry department. There they gave me a bunch of eye tests. A red lense test, color vision, accomadation test?, then they mapped out my eyeball (to make sure I haven't had surgery) lastly they numbed then dialated my eyes. I came back in an hour to finish with the doctor giving me a bunch of tests with my pupils dialated. I'm proud to say I still have 20/20 vision, but I guess I have astigmatism in both eyes... whatever that means. After optomotry I went home... it sure was fun trying to drive with my eyes dialated. But at least I had the doctor issued sunglasses... so I looked cool.
I found out that they forgot to take my sitting height and a week later I had to drive back just to get that measured. Owell, its finally all done.

Other news: I have some more pictures of the engine, and I finally bought a go cart to mount it to. For all those that are wondering, the engine I keep referring to is a JET engine that I built from scratch (well almost scratch) So it is not just the regular day to day engine.
Anyway, we finally completed the Afterburner nozzle (the huge long piece on the back) so we are test running it before we engage the afterburner. Here are some videos from the tests. The gauges you see in one shows how much boost (in PSI) that the engine is compressing. It is showing 10 lbs in the video, and that is a lot higher than I ever thought we could get it, so I am happy.
Hopefully, soon we can get the jet all mounted up to this beautiful cart that I bought, and have some real fun.
