European cruise... Um, Yes please!!!

Thanks to our equally impulsive friends Brandon and Courtney we are headed to Europe in May for a 4 day 3 night cruise. We are leaving from the Netherlands, stopping in La Havre, France (close to Paris), Guernsey Island (a port in the English channel), and ending in London. We aren't sure what we are going to do before and after but probably something along the line of fly in to Germany or Italy, spend a couple days there and eventually take a train up to the netherlands. Then we will spend a day or 2 in London afterwards.

The best part about this whole deal is we got the cruise for a whopping $89 per person (obviously add tax and port charges), I couldn't believe it. It was supposed to be $149 but when I called he told me he could get me $89... um, yes please!!! Anyway, once we get blogsmart we'll add a countdown timer, but I just thought I had to come brag about this ridiculous deal we got!!!

Where can I get me one of these?

I love her hat! Does anyone know where I can get one? Ha ha, just kidding. I'm actually really glad that I was able to watch the inauguration today. Obama did an awesome job (aside from his oath of office stumble!). It was cool to see such a historic moment. I am interested to see what happens in the next four years. He has a lot that is expected of him and I couldn't imagine being in that position. Even though I would consider myself "conservative" I am really stoked, along with the rest of the nation, to have a new president. I think it's what our country needs right now...a fresh start. Our prayers are with him. God Bless America!!

Picturesque Portland

Tennille's parents were up here the last couple of days helping us get settled in (it was great to have you Ray and Charlene) So we went to the only cool portland places that we knew about... Multnomah Falls, and the PDX Temple. Tennille took some cool pictures, so I just thought I'd post them.

Oh yeah, we forgot to mention...

WE MOVED TO PORTLAND, OREGON! Cody is now a pilot for Seaport Airlines, a small company that flies passengers from Portland to Seattle everyday. He flies a plane called the Pilatus PC-12. It's a cool plane from what I hear. Hopefully I'll get to ride in it soon. We couldn't be more excited about the move! Ever since we were married, we thought it would be fun to move out of state for awhile and have an adventure of our own. It's been a little crazy trying to get everything arranged for the move and for me to finish up all of my jobs here in Salt Lake, but we did it!Last week, Cody and I drove a honkin' 17-foot box truck up to Portland. It was quite the drive and my first time driving such a massive vehicle...I only had two small panic attacks as I drove through the Cascades. I felt like I was going to hit everything. Aside from that, everything went smoothly. When we got to our new house, our friend Brandon had flown up there to help us unpack. What a guy! He and Cody unloaded the truck in an hour and a half...unbelievable considering how much stuff was packed in.

So our house is actually up in Vancouver, Washington...just north of Portland. It's a two story duplex with a huge backyard, which will be perfect for Kusaba. We love the scenery up there. The rivers are so beautiful. We can't wait to get out and wakeboard on them... Our next order of business will be GETTING a boat so that we can wakeboard on them! Did I mention that we have a guest bedroom? So for those of you who really love us and want to come visit, you will have a place to stay. Please come visit soon!

Crazy video

So this is a totally random video, and its kindof long... but its amazing. So if you have 8 minutes that you want to spend watching a pack of lions attack some buffalo, then fight over their new meal with some crocs, and then eventually get put to shame, have at it. Oh, you may want to fast forward to about 2 minutes, thats when the action starts.
Enjoy!
