Back from Europe!!!

We got back from our AMAZING vacation on Tuesday. Unfortunately our camera ran out of batteries on the very first day, and we didn't bring the charger... so we have to wait to get all the pictures off our friends Camera. I'll just give a quick blurb of the trip, with more to come in the near future.

We (well actually Brandon and Courtney) found an awesome deal on a cruise through the English Channel. We couldn't turn it down, so we started waiting (we booked it in January... the wait sucked). Anyway, we flew into Amsterdam spent the day there, then headed to Rotterdam to catch our cruise. On the cruise we stopped in La Havre France, where we drove and paid homage to the beaches of Normandie. We then stopped in Guernsey Island, which is a british ran island off the coast of France. We ended in London, where we spend about 12 hours before we headed back home.

The trip was amazing, but waaaayyyy too short. We were running around the whole time trying to see everything we could. We are already planning our next Europe trip, and it will be longer next time... so if you are down for a Europe trip let us know.

Most importantly I have to show off the seats we got on our flight to Amsterdam and home from London. We were lucky enough to score business class (to AMS) and First Class (from London), I honestly don't know how somebody does a 10 hour plane ride in economy class, but I'm sure glad we didn't have to figure it out.

Are you kidding me!!!

Here is a news article that a local TV station did on my company, Seaport Airlines.
I think it is pretty ridiculous how one sided the media will be. They will totally sway viewers opinions by giving one side of an argument. Anyway, just FYI our Service to Newport and Astoria is priceless to residents there that operate businesses, and all the residents that need to travel to Portland for some reason and can't drive the 3 + hours. Also, another thing they didn't mention. We also have government subsidies to Pendalton Oregon and that has been going on since December. A short 5 months after we started service, our airplanes are 80% full on average.

"Everyone raves about the Oregon Coast and how beautiful it is, and again, how much seafood does the Oregon coast put on Portlander's dinner tables? Yet, those in the city get to bitch and moan that their tax dollars are paying for these flights and aren't necessary. To the farmer who needs to get to Portland or the Midwest for a convention on new, greener, organic farming techniques, it is necessary. For the fisherman who needs to get to Portland, or Seattle and on to Alaska for their job, it is necessary. For the new business looking at relocating in Oregon, or opening a new branch, it is necessary in order to encourage them to open in these struggling towns, who need the business and the revenue as bad as any other city, if not more."

Here's a shout out to our mom's!  We love you so much.  Thanks for being the wonderful people that you are.  We wish that we were there to share this special day with you.  Also, Tiffany and Aunt Margene...we can't forget about you.  You are amazing people and so compassionate. Thank you for being part of our lives, we are so grateful.  

CINCO DE MAYO!

Nothin says Cinco de Mayo like some good ol' fashioned tacos from El Paisa...the infamous taco stand in Salt Lake!  We were happy to celebrate this beloved holiday with our buds Jason and Becky.  Too bad they just bought a house in Salt Lake or else we would drag them up to Portland with us.  They are the kind of friends that you can not see for awhile, but when you do, it's just like old times.  We miss you guys!

It was also fun to see our families while we were in Utah for a short visit.  Our little (or not so little!) nephew Wyatt was as cute as can be.  My parents also came down from Logan and took Cody and I out to lunch.  It was a beautiful sunny day and the food at Thaifoon was amazing.  Good times...we love you all!
