Creighton... Here I come!!!

CREIGHTON UNIVERSITY
MEDICAL/DENTAL CAMPUS

The Dental school application process is about half over.  I applied to schools back in July, have been interviewing at schools since September, and December 1st is the first day that they can let you know of your fate.  I was lucky enough to hear back from my top 2 choices on December 1st.  Unfortunately my very top choice UCONN in Connecticut, put me on their waitlist, which means I'm an alternate in case someone doesn't accept an offer of admission.  But Luckily Creighton University accepted me through the RDEP program.  The RDEP program is an agreement they have with with the University of Utah.  Roughly 300+ Utah students apply every year, and I was one of the lucky 10 to get accepted. Basically I will spend my 1st year attending the University of Utah Medical School, then we will head out to Omaha Nebraska to finish my last 3 years of school.  Creighton was my 2nd choice out of about 18 schools I applied to, so I'm pretty dang lucky to get it there.  I still have a couple of interviews in the next month or 2 and I haven't heard back from some of the schools I interviewed at, so Creighton is not set in stone yet but I'm leaning pretty heavily in that direction.

So in the last 3 years I've gone from graduating with a BS in Aviation Management, to being an airline mechanic, to being an airline pilot, to going back to school to become a dentist... Man I'm a horrible husband.  I hope I am worth it Tennille, SORRY!!!

does this mean you will be in SLC for the first year of the program? because if it did, that would be AWESOME...
